Best 3D experience
By Lance Saleme
After considerable research I focused in on the shutter-based 3D glasses solution. The result was extremely satisfying, matching the other reviews and reports from similar customers. The fixed polarized solutions fail with any head tilt or angle of viewing outside the sweet spot. These glasses were in perfect condition, functioned as advertised, and are demonstrating a longer than expected battery life. The supplier was prompt, careful in shipping and offered an excellent price. The glasses were part of a combined purchase with the Panasonic TC-P65VT25 65 inch 3D Viera Plasma TV and the Panasonic DMP-BDT350 3D Blu-ray player. All the purchases work together as expected and have met all expectations.

Poor fit affects performance
By P. Wilson
I have witnessed numerous Blu-Ray 3D demos at electronics stores now, was very impressed, and took the plunge and bought a Panasonic 3D plasma, which came with a pair of these glasses. They work, kind of. But the fit is very poor (I am 6' tall with an average-size head and nose.) The fit is best when I take off the removable nose pad, but then the glasses are extremely uncomfortable and dig into the bridge of my nose. With the nose pad installed, the glasses sit very high, so the head has to be tipped down in order to look through them at the screen. It's a very silly design. What I'm finding is that the fit is so awkward that my eyes have difficulty forming a single coherent image from the 3D content. I don't know which model of glasses I used when I saw the store demos, but those did not have this problem. The store demos were seamless and comfortable for the eye. My home experience has not met this standard. Given the tiny amount of content currently available for this format, I am going to wait a few months, presumably for prices to come down significantly for decent 3D glasses, and hopefully there will be something less expensive that performs better then. For now, I can't recommend this model of glasses.

Poor fit for small faces & those with narrow bridge of nose
By K. Salinger
We recently bought a new 58" Panasonic HDTV 3D Plasma - the one rated "best" by ZD Net and it came with a 3D blu-ray player and three sets of these glasses. We were very disappointed with the poor fit which interferes with watching the 3D movies. While the glasses seem to fit my husband fine, they are incredibly uncomfortable for my 6 year old daughter and me. Her and I both have more petite, narrow bridges to our noses and the included nose pads meant to adjust the fit of the glasses do not help at all.The glasses come with two nose pad cushions that you can attach to the glasses. One is an upside down V shape that looks similar to what you might see in sunglasses (the ones that don't have the separate little nose pads on wire, but instead have the nose pads as part of the frame). The V shaped piece can be placed in one of 3 positions on the glasses, but for us none fit well. Instead of the sides of the V, where the cushion is, sitting on our nose, the very center of the V, where it comes together, rests on the bridge of the nose and is very uncomfortable. There is another cushion piece you can attach instead that is more of a solid triangle piece that can only rest on the top of the bridge of your nose. I think it's meant for kids, but either way, it's uncomfortable. They also include a strap that you attach to the glasses to hold them on your head. In order for the glasses to fit me appropriately so that the lenses are centered in front of my eyes, I had to use the strap and the side parts of the glasses, which normally go over your ears, are about 1.5" - 2" inches above my ears. It's the same fit for my daughter. Between this and the nose pad resting on the top of the bridge of the nose the glasses are very uncomfortable. In fact, the glasses were so uncomfortable that my daughter actually requested we switch the show to 2D to watch the rest so that she could remove them. I had long given up on them before this occurred for the same reason. There doesn't seem to be much choice out there in the 3D glasses market, so I'm going to have to find a way to adapt the glasses. I think I'll likely forgo the included nose pads and just add a soft fabric or cotton cushion to the bottom of the glasses above my nose.If you're considering the whole 3D thing, bring the whole family into the store to try out the glasses and wear them for at least 10-15 minutes. Perhaps there are other brands of players with glasses that fit better, so I'd try a few different brands out. The poor fit doesn't really start to bother you until the glasses have been on 5-10 minutes or so, so a quickie test at the store for a just a minute or two will is quite deceiving.Summary: If you have a wide bridge to your nose you'll be happy. If not, you will need to find a way to modify the glasses on your own to make them fit more comfortably. There's not really other options out there for other glasses if you have a Panasonic unit.(at least at this point in time, anyways...) When shopping, you might want to try out a few different brands & see if another player and it's glasses fit better.
