Better "universal" fit, but 3D experience not quite as good as the Panasonic TY-EW3D3 series

Pro: Price less than Panasonic Physical fit is more universal (head size, and over prescription glasses) Works with multiple TV brands (per marketing)Con: 3D viewing quality is not as good as with Panasonic glasses. (referenced against 3rd gen TY-EW3D3M series watching GT30 series Plasma) (noticeable difference in "good" (bright) scenes. Very noticeable in murky darker scenes)I got these for use with a Panasonic GT30 series plasma, due to price, larger size (for marketed "better fit" over prescription glasses), and universal sync (in case we go to friends with different brand TV).After a couple weeks use, I also was able to get a pair of the TY-EW3D3MU Panasonic glasses.3D Viewing quality:I had already been using the Blicks for about 2 weeks, and was satisfied with them. They fit well, fit over my wife's glasses very well, and the 3D looked good, though we did note some distracting ghosting (image cross-talk), mostly in darker murky scenes, and in shadows, but otherwise happy with it.However, once I had the Panasonic glasses, I noticed very quickly that the image was sharper with the Panasonic glasses, with better overall 3D effect. In the scenes that previously had noticeable ghosting (with Blicks), there was none, or very little (in the worst scenes) with the Panasonic glasses. After this, it became apparent (but only due to direct back and forth comparison) that even the scenes with no obvious ghosting (with the Blicks), that the image was still sharper and with better 3D details (with the Panasonic), which I believe is due to the same (though more subtle) cross-talk affect.FIT:The Blicks are more universal, due to the shape of the sides (which curve in quite a bit). These seem to allow fit to smaller heads better than the Panasonic medium frames (which fit looser on my young daughter), while still being comfortable on wider heads.Overall:I gave the Blicks an overall 4-star rating due to decent performance and for the "Universal" capabilities (for TV brands, and fit for head size and over glasses). However, for pure 3D viewing quality/experience (for Panasonic Plasma ), I would probably rate it a 3-star against Panasonic 5-star for viewing comparison. I will keep the Blicks as secondary pair (for their "universal" benefits), but for our regular home 3D viewing , I will use the Panasonic brand, as the 3D viewing quality is noticeably better.You will need to decide what features are most important. If you don't expect to need universal feature (i.e. will only watch on a Panasonic TV), then the Panasonic glasses are the better choice (even at the higher price point) for the best viewing experience. If you have fit issues over regular glasses, or do expect to use with different brand TVs, then Blicks would be a good way to go for their Universal features.

If I could give NO STARS at all I would. Panasonic owners stay away.

Despite the glowing reviews and overly hyped message, these glasses are NOT COMPATIBLE with a large range of Panasonic TVs, including most of the VT series. Buy these at your peril, because even though there is a returns policy, it is full of nasty caveats like 'restocking charges'. You will also, of course end up paying the courier fees both ways, which could easily add up to more than the cost of the items.We bought 4 sets and tried them with the Panasonic P65VT20K. They would not configure at all, not even for a second.
